Mr. and Mrs. Dan Brewbaker Celebrated Their Fifth Wedding Anniversary

Dan Brewbaker, proprietor of the well known Bon Ton Bakery at 1369 Clay Street, and his estimable wife celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary last night in a happy manner. Over fifty of their friends were present and spent a most delightful evening at cards, dancing, etc. The host and hostess served an exquisite supper at midnight. When the company assembled Mr. E. L. Schilling stepped forward and said:

“Mr. and Mrs. Brewbaker it gives your friends here great pleasure to be with you this evening to celebrate your fifth anniversary of marriage. As a token which will but partly sum the esteem which you are held - beg to present to you, in your behalf and also in behalf of myself this wooden article, that you may always remember us and your wooden wedding.”

The gift was a handsome wooden bookcase, highly polished. Mr. Brewbaker responded gracefully for himself and for his wife, and sincerely thanked them for their kind remembrance.
