Graveside services for Max John O'Keefe, 67, of Arnolds Park, were held Thursday, July 8, 1982, at 2 p.m., at the Superior la., Cemetery, with the Rev. Dick Viney officiating. O'Keefe died Wednesday, July 7, at his home in Arnolds Park.

Pallbearers were Jim Robinson, Lane Moen, John Boor have, and Jan Bolluyt.

Max John O'Keefe was born at Algona, la., on Nov. 3, 1914. He attended Iowa State University. On Aug. 1, 1948, he married Frances Caroline Newton. O'Keefe worked as a barber and owned shops in Marshalltown, Swea City, Estherville, and Arnolds Park.

O'Keefe served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of the V.F.W., Cooties, and American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Frances.

The Donovan-Leyson Funeral Home, of Spirit Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
