WAYNE TITTERINGTON PASSES AWAY

Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Titterington's home was saddened this week by the death of their eldest son, Clarence Wayne. Three weeks ago the boy was suddenly taken sick and from that sickness he never recovered. About four years ago he had the scarlet fever which left him with certain physical ills as is many times the case. On Jan. 7th this year he took a cold which rapidly developed into brain fever. All that medical aid could do was done but without results. A week ago last Sunday Mrs. E. A. Bramon, a nurse, was called on the case, and the following Monday the boy was moved from the farm west of town to his uncle's home in Milford, Mr. Barney Boers, in order to be close to the doctors. He was waited on day and night by the physicians and the nurse, but was unable to overcome the fever He died Tuesday forenoon of this week.

Clarence Wayne was born May 27, 1914 and died Jan. 29, 1924. He would have been ten years old at his next birthday. He leaves to mourn his loss his parents, one sister and two brothers, Mr. Adam Lenz, his grandfather, who came to this country in an early day, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Titterington, many cousins and other relatives. Wayne was bright and cheerful as long as he was conscious and more thoughtful of those taking care of him than of himself. He was loved by all who came to know him. His loss will be felt not only in the home but by his playmates as well.

The funeral service was held in the Milford Congregational church Wednesday at 2:30. The Rev. G. F. Wood, pastor of the Excelsior church, assisted by the Rev. W. C. Leake of Milford conducted the service. Burial was made in the Milford cemetery. The people of Milford community extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved parents and relatives in this hour of sorrow.
