Obituary - Spirit Lake Beacon, Spirit Lake, Iowa -30 Dec 1898
PETERSON. In Richland township, December 21, of dropsy, Mrs Elinor Peterson, aged 63 years, 9 months and 8 days, wife of T. C. Peterson. Deceased was born in Warwickshire, England, coming to the state of New York with her parents in early childhood. From thence she came to Illinois, where on June 24, 1855, she was united in marriage to the husband who survives, and the same year Mr. and Mrs. Peterson came to Chickasaw county, Iowa. They have lived for a number of years in this county. Funeral services were held at Superior last Friday, conducted by Rev. J. A. Ellis.
Note: Elenor Peterson's maiden name was Quaife.
