Mrs. Louie Clausen and William Peterson mourn the death of their brother John "Jack" Peterson who passed away at a nursing home at Spencer on Saturday, Feb. 23 1957. He had been hospitalized for nearly a month, and for the three weeks had been cared for at the nursing home. He was 81 years, 8 months and 28 days of age. Cancer or lungs caused his death. He had lived in an apartment until he went to the Spencer Hospital.

He lived around Lake Park many years and worked on farms. His wife passed away two years ago. He leaves three children, Archie and John Jr of Des Moines, and a daughter Mrs. Glen Roach of Spencer. There are also five grandchildren.

He leaves three brothersand four sisters: Hort Peterson or Wadena, Minn; Ed Peterson of Salem, Ore; Mrs. Joe Fronk of Hope, N. D.; William Peterson of Lake Park; Mrs Frank Hoye of Spirit Lake; Mrs. Segfred Brag of Grandin, N.D.; and Mrs louie Clausen of Lake Park. One sister passed away 15 years ago in California.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 25 at the Cob-Warner Funeral Home in Spencer, and burial was in Silver Lake Cememtery at Lake Park with graveside services.
