Mrs. Sarah Ann Peterson passed quietly away at the home of her son, Will Peterson at Lake Park at the close of Mother's Day just 28 days after she had passed her 80th birhtday. She had been in failing for the last six months but was taken much worse the last ten days before her death. Hardening of the arteries and degeneration of the nerves hastened her death which was a sweet release from constant pain suffering. She was lovingly cared for by her son and daughter-in-law where she has made her home for the past 11 years.

Sarah ann Meyers was born at Fairfield, Ill., April 11, 1857. She was united in marriage to Swan Peterson, October 24, 1974 at Princeton Ill., where they farmed for 13 years. They moved to a farm near algona, Iowa, and later came Dickinson County. About 16 years ago they moved to Sebka, Minnesota. They returned tothis vicinity about 11 years ago. They were the parents of 10 children. One died in infancy and one daughter, Mrs Anna Fronk, died last June in Santa Anna, Calif., following an automobile accident. The surviving childrenare: John and Hort, of Spencer; william of Lake Park; Mrs. Mary Fronk, of Hope, N. D.; Mrs. Sarah Hoye, of Lake Park; Mrs. Nellie Brag, of Grandin, N. D.; and Mrs. Agnes Clausen, of Lake Park; and Ed Peterson, of Salem, Ore. There are also 39 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, William Meyers, of Algona, Iowa. She was preceeded in death by her husband in 1930 and by two sisters and two brothers and her father.

She will always be remembered by her children for her untiring devotion to them and her self sacirficing life. Her friends like to remember her a straight, foeward, honest, industrious, kindly soul. She will be sadly missed in the family circle.

Funeral services were held at the home of her son, Mr. and Mrs. Will Peterson, Wednesday afternoon with Rev. R. J. Blue of the Presbyterian Church officiating. Mrs Mabryn Schaefer Accompanied Mrs P. M. Lawrence and Mrs Carl Christopherson as they sang "Going Down the Valley" and "In the Garden.'

Pall bearers were William
springer, Will Wickman, Jude Jacobson, William Thorson, John Boyer Tom Arthur of Montgomery.

Burial was in Silver Lake Cemetery.
