I don’t know which paper this obituary was in.
Nettie’s mother’s name was Julenne. Margaret was Robert’s mother.

DIED

Johnson. In Spirit Lake township, January 3d. Mrs. Nettie Johnson, aged forty-three years, wife of Robert Johnson.

After an illness of twelve months from consumption this wife and mother peacefully passed to her reward. She was a good woman, ever faithful to her home and family and was much loved by those best capable of judging her true character and worth. Her death is a heavy blow to the husband and children.

Nettie Swailes was born in Winneshiek county and came with the family to this county over thirty years ago. In 1893 she was married to Robert Johnson and the family resided for five years in O’Brien county, when they returned to Spirit Lake township. The chief mourners are the husband, three children-two boys and a girl aged from seven to eleven years- one brother and two sisters, John Swailes, Mrs. Ira Farr and Mrs. N.R. Bennett, all of this county, and the aged mother, Mrs. Margaret Swailes, who has a home in the Johnson family.

Funeral services were conducted in the Catholic church Thursday at 10:30 a. m., by Father Daly, of Esterville.
