Hattie Backus

1870 Des Moines Yellow Spring Township census shows a Hattie, 17, in the household of Jebel L Backus. There is a check mark in the column for "If married within the last year". I am guessing that Hattie is the granddaughter of Stephen and Martha Riggs of Franklin Township. She would be the daughter of Ellen "Riggs" Stephen's daughter. Ellen's sister, Martha, was married to George Ibbottson of Yellow Springs Township. I am assuming that she was married to one of the Backus boys, Levi Lewis or George J. I am looking for confirmation of this as well as the name of Ellen's husband and Hattie's father.
