About 1853 Elizabeth Eve Craig (age 16), her mother, one brother and two sisters came to Burlington from Maryland after the death of her father. Elizabeth married John L. Cramer/ Kramer on March 8, 1864. Are there marriage records then and would it state her parents' names? This information is from Elizabeth's obituary. John and Elizabeth settled in Independence, Iowa and are the 2X gr. grandparents of my husband. I'd love to find out Elizabeth's parents names and the siblings would be a bonus.
