Look up in Des Moines in exchange for VA lookups?

WALKER, BARBER

Hi, I am hoping that someone in Iowa might want to exchange some VA look-up time for Des Moines look-up time. I have several direct questions to be looked up there. My questions would be:

Seth Walker, age 22, is on the 1860 Union Twp, Des Moines County, IA census. His mother Elizabeth & sister Susan, along with his Uncle Joel Walker, are in Denmark Twp, Lee County, IA by 1870. Is he recorded on any documents bet. 1860-1870 in Des Moines? He has not been found as joining the Civil War. His sister's descendants didn't know that he existed which leads us to believe that he may have died young.

Sister Susan Walker married Finley Barber Sept. 27, 1873 in Des Moines, IA according to the Iowa, 1851-1900 Marriage Index. Are there any records on Finley listed in the courthouse? He dies before the 1880 census where the family is located in Montrose, Lee Co., IA. He is not on the 1870 Iowa census as Finley Barber.

That's all, just wondering if there is any record of these 2 guys in Des Moines at all.
Thank you! Neva Adams
