NEFF family

NEFF, LOWERY

James/Albert NEFF is my 2nd g-gf. I believe his father is Adam NEFF, b. abt 1802 WV/VA. Albert NEFF is last found on the 1870 Des Moines Co., IA census which has him born 1834 WV. He is living with George W. NEFF, b. 1838 WV. George’s wife is Ellen. George may be Albert’s brother. Albert NEFF m. Loretta Lowery 7 Dec 1871 Des Moines Co., IA. The 1870 Des Moines Co., IA census shows Adam NEFF, age 68, living next door to F. B. LOWERY, age 57, with daughter Loretta LOWERY, age 20, still in her fathers household. Adam NEFF first shows in Des Moines Co., IA between 1856 and 1860. My search of early WV/VA census index’s has failed to find this Neff family.
