Please note that I am updating my e-mail address since 2003. I have learned some information since 2003 and will update Andrew P Carlson's family information here. Andrew P Carlson and his family moved from Des Moines County, Union Township sometime to just prior to the 1880 Federal Census. My best guess is they moved to Fillmore County, Nebraska close to the village of Shickley in Bryant township. It is noted that John Carlson had since married and stayed in Iowa for at least another two years and then he and his wife Augusta Burgeson Carlson and three children Arthur, Lillie, and Oren also moved to Fillmore County, Nebraska.
It is noted that through the Nebraska records that Andrew and Anna Carlson's 4th Child who went by the names Caroline and another time Alma Carlson, she is never noted in any Nebraska record that I have come across. It is speculated that she died in Iowa - Des Moines County prior to the family moving to Nebraska. This child was enumerated in the 1860 Federal Census as Caroline two years of age and then in the 1870 census as being twelve year old Alma.
I have not found the church that this Carlson family belonged to in Des Moines County Iowa. I have found them in 4 seperate M. E. Methodist Churches in Nebraska but nothing in Iowa. I know that Andrew P Carlson died Oct 31, 1904 in Shickley, Nebraska and his wife Anna then moved with her son David W. Carlson and wife Emma Freeberg Carlson to Phoenix, AZ where she died there in 1818. I have move informaiton if anyone is interested but my main focus is to find out what happened to Alma/Caroline Carlson. It is my belief Alma/Caroline died sometime between 1870 and 1880. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
