Property receipt - Cameron Addition

I have a handwritten receipt from E.W. Cameron to Briget Brown, dated April 26 1873. It concerns a partial payment by Ms. Brown for lots 42 and 43 of R. and E.W. Cameron's addition to the City of Burlington. These lots, now at the dead-end of Cameron St. off Agency, were later owned by the Daly family. The receipt, however, was found inside a wall during renovation of a home on Remick Street - a couple of blocks away.

To complicate matters further, the receipt was found tucked inside a business ledger from Columbus, Ohio. The family name of Strickler seems to have a lot to do with this ledger.

I would love to hear from anyone who has info on the families or events mentioned.
