Seeking information on Chester Arthur Smith, Sr., born about 1885 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a son of Fred Schmidt, born in Germany, and Lucy Morgan.

Chester married Katherine Kochler, born August 4, 1888 in Burlington, Des Moines, Iowa. She was a daughter of Peter J. Kochler and Barbara Kaletch.

Chester Arthur Smith, Jr., married my aunt, Mary Lois Tidwell on July 17, 1943 in Cussetta, GA, when he was a soldier in World War II.
