Mechlenburg Connection

MECHLENBURG, MECKLENBURG

I believe my Mechlenburg family is connected to the Mecklenburgs of Des Moines County. They all left Prussia in late 1860's-1870's. My relatives entered US in New Oreleans, then traveled north ending up in St. Louis and Chicago. They were probably Luthern. Hope someone can help.
