I am looking for any information on my Brickwall! His name is George W. Marsh. He married Eliza Moreland in 1838 in Tippecanoe County Indiana. I found them in the 1840 census. I found them in the 1850 census in Des Moines County Iowa. They had 5 children. (the only 5 that lived to adulthood). James, John, Warren, Sarah, and Armella. By 1856 I find the family in Louisa County Iowa but George W is missing. Does anyone out there know anything about this family? I can't find them in the 1860 census and I know they were back in Indiana by the start of the civil war because James and Warren fought for Indiana companies. So I am missing the years between 1856 and 1861. Any help? Any suggestions? Several census records state George and Eliza were born in Iowa, but I have just as many that state elsewhere. (New York, Pennsylvania, Ireland, Indiana) So, I am at a standstill on this unless someone can shed some light for me. Thanks!
