Oliver James Marshall, 59, of 511 Lincoln, died in Burlington Hospital at 10 a.m. Sunday ()December 10, 1961.

Last rites will be held at the Elliott-Lunning chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The officiant will be the Reverend G. A. Saathoff. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

A native of the Sperry community, Marshall was born June 15, 1902, the son of Ira and Blanche Larkin Marshall. He married Ethel Drinkall at Mediapolis on September 5, 1923. He was a mill worker at the Noelke-Lyon Manufacturing Company.

Mrs. Marshall survives, as do four daughters: Mrs. Doris Hultgren, 314 Brentwood, West Burlington; Mrs. Marjorie Bernhart, 521 May avenue; Mrs. Wilma Fullhart, Burlington Route 2, and Mrs. Mary Ann Willis, at home.

Also surviving are his father, Ira Marshall, Sperry, and the following brothers and sisters: Ralph and Walter Marshall and Mrs. Hazel Grannaman. all of Burlington; Bert Marshall, Mt. Pleasant, and Mrs. Daisy Burgus, of Sperry. There are 10 grandchildren. His mother and one brother died previously.
