Morrison (IL) -- Frederick E. "Fred" Stephenson Jr., 74, of Morrison died Thursday, February 26, 2004. Born July 30, 1929, in Burlington, Iowa, to Frederick E. Sr. and Margaret Kissinger Stephenson. Graduated from Burlington High School and attended Clinton (Iowa) Community College. Married Janice M. Decker, January 5, 1962. U.S. Army veteran. Employed more than 25 years in sales and management for various auto dealerships. Member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 3916, 4th Degree/Boland Assembly. Past president of Burlington Trades & Labor. Survivors: wife, Jan; three daughters; seven sons including Kevin and Robert of Rockford; 23 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters. Predeceased by a son.

Service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 1, in St. Mary Catholic Church. Interment in Grove Hill Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 29, in Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, 404 East Lincolnway. Memorials established.
