George W. Stoermer, 72, 2009 Sunnyside, died at 4:45 p.m. Monday, July 2, at Memorial hospital.

He was born November 3, 1900, in Burlington, the son of Charles H. and Lena Wichhart (sic: Wickhart) Stoermer. He married Flora Hoffman on April 25, 1922, in Burlington. He was employed by the Canfield Real estate firm and was a postal transport clerk for 40 years. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran church, FOE No. 150, United Federation of Postal Clerks Local 61 and Senior Saints of Bethany Lutheran church.

Surviving: The wife; two daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Huth, Burlington, Mrs. Odett Reger, Dallas, Texas; two sons, Richard, Burlington, and Larry, Newton; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Lunning Chapel, Reverend Harold Bostrom; Aspen Grove cemetery.

A memorial has been established for Bethany Lutheran church.
