Donna Jean Frank, 92, of Burlington, Iowa, died Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the Aspire of Donnellson in Donnellson, Iowa.

Born on June 8, 1932, in Salem, Iowa, she was the daughter of Otto and Ruth (Alter) Garmoe. On November 15, 1952, she married Robert H. Frank. He preceded her in death on September 10, 2019.

Donna was a graduate of Salem High School and a member of Sperry Global Methodist Church. For many years she worked for Wal-Mart where she retired from. Donna enjoyed gardening, canning and freezing her produce that she harvested. She loved being in the kitchen cooking and baking for friends and family. Donna also enjoyed sewing. When her children were little, she would sew their clothing and even sewed outfits for her grandchildren. Above all else, her family was her pride and joy and she loved being with them.

She is survived by her three daughters: Connie (Craig) Schmidt, Robin Frank and Michelle (Darin) Hauswirth; five grandchildren: Amanda (Caleb Kruse) Schmidt, Carmen Schmidt, Brady (Claire) Schmidt, Emily (Sam) Kuckes and Nick (Hanna) Hauswirth; three great grandsons: Aiden, Dallyn and Dryver. Also surviving is one brother Keith Garmoe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, brother Maurice Garmoe and sister Lucille Garmoe.

The funeral service for Donna will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2024, at Lunning Chapel with Pastor Bruce Smith officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be held in Burlington Memorial Park.

A memorial has been established in her memory.
