Robert S. Thurman

Word has been received here that Robert Scott Thurman, 55, a native of Burlington, died Sunday, Dec. 19, at the Wisconsin Veterans hospital.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gus (Jesse) Thurman of Burlington, both of whom are dead. Mr. Thurman had served in the 136th Medical division of the Iowa National Guard.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Thurman, serving in the U.S. Army, and Allen, Rock Island, Ill.; a brother, Walter, Rock Island, and a niece, Mrs. Alvin Brissey, Burlington.

Funeral: Thursday 1 p.m. Rock Island Arsenal, with military honors at graveside.
