Mabel Meth

Mrs. Mabel A. Meth, 85, formerly of 104 W. Lowe, Fairfield, died Friday in Elm View Care Center at Burlington.

Funeral services will be at Lunning Chapel in Burlington at 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Donald Hoornstra in charge. Burial will be in Burlington's Aspen Grove Cemetery.

She was born Dec. 17, 1892 in Burlington to Andrew and Matilda Wahl. She was married to John Meth March 11, 1909 and they lived many years in Fairfield. He died March 31, 1970 after which she moved back to Burlington.

Surviving are her children, Kenneth of Cherokee Village, Ark., Robert of Mount Pleasant, John of West Burlington, Mrs. Helen Massey of Logansport, Ind.; Mrs. Marilyn Nichols of Carthage, Mo., Mrs. Bettie Cross of Grand Junction, Colo., 27 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
