SCOTT RANDALL BROCKWAY

Just before dawn on a hot July morning, a gentle soul slipped the surly bonds of earth and winged its way to heaven. Freed from his body and earthly woes, Scott Brockway was greeted by all who had gone before him, waiting with open arms to comfort him. Wrapped in their protective care, he will never be alone again. Now those of us left behind must continue without him.

Scott Randall Brockway, 53, unexpectedly left us on July 22, 2019 in West Easton Borough, Pennsylvania. Scott was born in Burlington, Iowa on November 9, 1965 to Randy and Marcia Lynn Yohe Brockway. In his early years, Scott lived in Iowa, Puerto Rico, Missouri and California then graduated from high school in North Carolina. He joined the Navy in 1985 where he met Gina Andaloro from New Jersey. They married in 1985 and had two beautiful daughters Mallory and Alexandra. Scott and Gina later divorced and remained friends. Scott worked for New Jersey Bell/Verizon for 30 years.

So many plans for the future died with Scott but he will be remembered as a man who loved his children, family and friends, his cats, Harley Davidson motorcycles, deer hunting, his Grandpa Yohe’s farm, Des Moines County and family history. He enjoyed cooking and was quite good at it. He planted a garden and raised chickens for several years and completed many do-it-yourself projects at his home. He was an outdoors man with a sensitive side and we will miss him always.

Survivors include daughters Mallory Brockway (Jay Dunn) and Alexandra Brockway (Colin Davis); mother and step-father Lynn and Bill Kopatich; former wife, Gina Marie Brockway (Anthony DiCastelnuovo); grandchildren, Brynn, Jay-Jay, Brielle, Isla and Beckham; brother, Christopher and Polly McMillen; step-father and wife, Scott and Merrellyn McMillen; Gina’s parents, Andy Andaloro and Joyce Andaloro; special aunt and uncle, Bob and Virginia Orton; two half-sisters, Kristi Lumbeck and Lori Selassie, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Randy Brockway, Vietnam 1969; his grandparents, brother Mike Peters and uncles David and Tad Day.

A service in remembrance of Scott will be held at Lunning Chapel, Burlington, Iowa on August 3 with visitation at 10 am and service following at 11 am. In accordance with his wishes, Scott will be buried in rural Des Moines County Dolbee Cemetery near his Brockway ancestors.

In memory of Scott, a memorial is suggested to the Wolfhound Veteran Association Inc, 6240 High County Dr., Helena, Montana 59602.
