Margaret Mary Walljasper, 86, of Yarmouth, recently of Prairie Ridge Care Center in Mediapolis, died Tuesday evening, January 28, 2003, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born April 21, 1916, in Dodgeville, she was the daughter of Chester and Helen Vorwerk Seifken (sic: Siefkin). She married Joseph Otto Walljasper on April 21, 1937, in Dodgeville.

She was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Dodgeville.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, one daughter, nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two brothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, two sisters and seven brothers.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Walljasper will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Dodgeville. Burial will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for Saint Jude's Children's Hospital.
