Mrs. Meta Rosa Meck, 66, of 218 Sweeney Avenue, died at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday at her home, where she had been in failing health for 6 months.
She was born May 25, 1884 in Burlington, the daughter of Christion and Henrietta Uffleman Schmidt, and was married to Thomas Meck, Nov. 28, 1911 in Burlington. Mrs. Meck was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical & Reformed church and the Navy Mothers Club.
Surviving are one son, Thomas Meck of Burlington; 4 daughters, Mrs. Helen Treharne and Mrs. Maybelle Hesser, both of Burlington and Mrs. Ruth Larson of Spencer; and Harriett Meck at Home; 5 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Minnie Anhalt and Mrs. Frances Frazier, both of Burlington and a number of nieces and nephews. Her husband and a son, William are dead.
The body is at Prugh's chapel. Funeral services will be announced later. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
