William Granamann, a pioneer farmer of Des Moines county, passed away at his home in Mediapolis, Wednesday evening (December 5, 1917) at 7:35 o'clock. Death was due to an acute attack of pneumonia. He was a veteran of the civil war, a good citizen, who was held in high regard by all who knew him. He is survived by the widow and several children.

The funeral will be held at the Old Stone church, six miles southwest of Mediapolis, conducted by the pastor, C. W. Webb, of the Baptist church at Mediapolis, at 11 a.m., Sunday, December 9. A short service at the house at 10 o'clock. All friends are invited to attend.
