The funeral of Albert Unterkircher was held at two o’clock p.m. yesterday afternoon, January 20, 1883, from the residence of his father, P.F. Unterkircher, at 313 Washington Street. Despite the severity of the weather there was a large attendance of sympathizing friends. Dr. Salter and Rev. Funsel of the German Lutheran Church officiated.

Rev. Dr. Johnson, of Christ Church, had charge of the ritualistic services of the Knights of Pythias, of which order he is a member. Friendship Lodge No 11 was very materially assisted in the burial service by the members of the Flint Hills Lodge No. 39.

There was a number of handsome floral offerings, among them being several beautiful wreaths. A lengthy funeral cortege followed the remains to the grave.
