Old Resident Dead
Mrs. Barbara Sauer, wife of the late Philip Sauer, passed away this morning at 7:40 o'clock at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. B. Sourwine, 1604 South Thirteenth street. She was born in Germany, December 25, 1830, and came to this country when she was 9 years old, and been a resident in this county 80 years.
In 1848 she was united in marriage to Philip Sauer and to them were born two children, George Sauer, who died in 1887 and Mrs. Catherine Sourwine of this city. She also leaves six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren to mourn her death.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
