Albert Fred Scheihing, 78, of Wapello, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mercy hospital at Burlington.

Mr. Scheihing was born August 23, 1889, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Scheihing, in Burlington. For the past 33 years Mr. Scheihing was a resident of Wapello.

On February 16, 1916, Mr. Scheihing married Miss Nellie Nelson in Mediapolis. A member of the Presbyterian church, Mr. Scheihing also belonged to the Wapello Masonic lodge. His occupation was salesman for the Des Moines Register.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie Nelson Scheihing of Wapello; three sons, Ralph Scheihing and Harry Scheihing of Wapello, and Herbert Scheihing of Mediapolis; one daughter, Mrs. Ella Johansmeier of Wapello; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Walker of Burlington, Mrs. Matilda Finke of West Burlington, and Mrs. Julia McAllister of Eldora; and 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one son, Albert Scheihing.

The funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Wapello Presbyterian church. The minister will be Reverend Don Ross. Interment will be at Wapello cemetery. Friends may call at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home.
