Mediapolis (IA) -- Mrs. Grace Dean, 86, Mediapolis rural, died in Burlington Medical Center at 7:30 a.m. Monday, June 6.
The daughter of Albert and Mary Grannaman Thomes, she was born January 4, 1891, in Des Moines county. She married Allen Dean at Oquawka, Illinois. She was a member of the Kingston United Methodist church.
Surviving: Two daughters, Lucille McAfee, Muscatine, and Selma Wehage, Kingston; brother, Clarence Thomes, Sperry; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Fry Chapel, Reverend Clarence Burns; Memorial Park cemetery at Burlington. A memorial to the Kingston United Methodist church has been established.

Two sons, Delbert Dean, Mediapolis, and Floyd Andries, Oakville, were omitted from a list of survivors Monday. Also surviving is a brother, Clarence Thomes, Sperry .
