Kingston (IA) -- Allen Dean died December 16 at his home in Kingston. He was a life resident of the Kingston vicinity.

Dean was born July 14, 1880, the son of Isaac and Mary Dean. On December 2, 1919, he was married to Grace Andries. She survives, as do a son, Delbert Dean, and a stepson and two stepdaughters; Floyd Andries and Mrs. Selma, Wehage, both of Kingston, and Mrs. Lucille McAfee, of Muscatine.

Also surviving are four brothers and three sisters: Orville Dean, Peoria, Illinois; Clay Dean, Danville; Willard Dean, Burlington, Harry Dean and Mrs. Etta Walker, both of Mediapolis; Mrs. Mae Steffener, Sperry, and Mrs. Charles Cline, living in Indiana. There are six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Two brothers died previously. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Fry chapel, in Mediapolis. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Burlington.
