R. T. STODT DIES AT HIS HOME IN WEST BURLINGTON

Resident of Burlington 35 Years, Native of Austria, Succumbs to Pneumonia

Richard Thomas Stodt, a native of Austria, died at hie home, 118 Spring street in West Burlington, yesterday morning, following a five day illness of pneumonia. He was forty years old and came to Burlington where he has, lived since, at the age of five years. He had been an employe of the Chittenden and Eastman company for the last two years but previous to that time had worked in the employ of the Burlington railroad for thirteen years. He was married to Minnie Strouhal November 17, 1915, and to this union five children were born, one having died several years ago.

He is survived by his widow and the following children, all under 8 years of age: Mary Esther, Rita, Leona, and Lillian. He also leaves his mother and the following brothers and sisters: Joseph and Frank of West Burlington, John of Detroit, Michigan, Mrs. Joseph Luttenegger, Mrs. Adolph Leiderman, Mrs. Joseph Kubish(sic) and Mrs. Carl Jaeger, all of Burlington.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church of West Burlington and a member of the choir of that church, also a member of the A. W. C. W. lodge and Austrian Society. Funeral arrangements will be made later.
