Fern Eric Wolfe, route 1, West Burlington, died at Mercy hospital at 8:45 a.m. Saturday after an extended illness. He was born at Carroll, Iowa, April 3, 1892, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Wolfe. He was a farmer and a member of Grace Methodist church, the former Cecile Courter, to whom he was married April 25, 1912, at Iowa City, three sons, John Wolfe, Winfield, Harold Wolfe and Jerry Wolfe, West Burlington; four daughters, Mrs. Walter Forbers, Hillsboro; Frances M. Wolfe, government teacher in Linz, Austria, Mrs. Rolland Hopson, Burlington, and Betty Wolfe, West Burlington.

One son, James Wolfe, is dead. He was killed in World war two. The body is at the Giles funeral home. Funeral arrangements will be made after word from Frances Wolfe, who is en route home from Austria.
