Former West Burlingtonian Mrs. Cecile Wolfe, 88, Danville Community Home, died there at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday, May 18.

She was born June 15, 1897, to Alexander and Sally Willis Courter in Henry County, where she married John Wolfe in May 1912. He died May 2, 1953.

She was a member of First Assembly of God Church.

Surviving: Three sons, Harold, New London Route 1, John W., Sperry rural, and Jerry, West Burlington; two daughters, Betty Distelhorst, Burlington rural, and Meridel Hopson, Burlington; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday, Lunning Chapel, the Reverend Norman Wenig; Elmwood Cemetery, Morning Sun. A memorial has been established for First Assembly of God Church.
