Harry E. Dannenbring 1934-2012

A much loved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Harry E. Dannenbring, 78, of Burlington, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, with his family by his side.

Born January 22, 1934, in Burlington, he was the son of Edward and Esther Sommerfeld Dannenbring. He was a graduate of Burlington High School in 1952. On April 27, 1956, he married Pauline Pritchard in Burlington. Harry worked as a Wholesale Route Man for Gustafson Brothers Dairy and Anderson-Erickson Dairy.

He enjoyed gardening and loved every tree in his park-like yard. He was an avid bird watcher and made sure his winged friends were well taken care of. He also enjoyed rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals and was an ardent fan and member of the booster club for the Southeastern Community College Black Hawk basketball team.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Pauline; one son, Terry (Karen) Dannenbring of Anchorage, AK; two daughters, Denise (Willie) Belton of Lompoc, CA, and Jeanna (Jim) Humpton of Iowa City; six grandchildren, Natasha, Crystalin, Jeremy, Zachariah, Whitney, and Aaron; ten great-grandchildren, Koal, Xavier, Amelia, Ethan, Sofia, Caleb, Alexandra, Titan, Sophia, and one due in January; and two brothers, Jack (Norma) Dannenbring of Republic, MO, and Charles (Pam) Dannenbring of Burlington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

As per Harry's request cremation has been accorded.

Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
