Magdalin Sauer
Services for Mrs. Magdalen "Peggy" Sauer will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. in St. John's Catholic church. There will be short services at Prugh's chapel at 8:30 a.m. Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. by Daughters of Isabella and friends at Prugh's. Burial will be in Sacred Heart cemetery.
Mrs. Sauer, 55, who lived at 1504 Market, died Saturday at 12:10 p.m. at St. Francis Hospital after an illness of four months.
She was born in Burlington, April 20, 1899. A member of St. John's Catholic church, she was also a member of the Alter society, St. Francis Aid Society, Daughters of Isabella, Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary, a national vice president of Air Force Mothers club and a member of the Eagles auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband, John; two sons TSgt. John Sauer at Tinker Air Force base, Oklahoma City, and SFC Clifford A. Sauer of Ft. Lewis Wash; four brothers, Joe Abrisz and Paul Koch of Burlington, Clifford and Edward of Los Angeles Calif; two granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. Her parents are dead.
