Linda McCabe 62, of Burlington, died at 4:10 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2003, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Born February 20, 1941, in Gladstone, Ill., she was the daughter of Homer E. and Georgia Whitmore Decker. On September 13, 1958, she married John F. McCabe in Biggsville, Ill.

Mrs. McCabe was a production worker for Experian for 15 years, retiring in 1996. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed working in her yard. She was of the Methodist faith

Survivors include her husband; one son, John Lee McCabe of Burlington; three daughters, Brenda Sue Boyer of St. Lucas, Kathy Ann Dugan of Burlington and Lori Lee Pauly of Fort Madison; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Kenny Decker of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two sisters, Evelyn Fordice and Rita Culp, both ot Myrtle Beach; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. There will be no visitation. The body has been cremated.

Private family burial will be at a later date in Aspen Grove Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society.
