Judith Marie Perry, 73, of Burlington, died at 7:35 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born August 20, 1941, in St. Paul, MN, she was the daughter of Raymond Andrew and Mary Ruth Kratovil. On April 29, 1961, she married John Addson Perry in Livingston, MT.
Judith worked for Dr. Yokichi Itoh for 22 years and then for a temp service at Montana State University for a brief period before taking a position as Executive Secretary for the President of the university. She worked five years for President William Tietz before her husband's job with the railroad was transferred to Burlington. She took a position with Silas Mason/Mason and Hanger as a secretary for a project working with Peoples Republic of China. Her work then brought her to IAAP, working as a secretary for the Division Manager, before accepting her final position as secretary for the President and CEO of Burlington Medical Center. She worked on the Great River Medical Center Project and moved with the hospital to its new facility in 2000 until her retirement in May 2007.
She graduated from Park County High School in Livingston, MT in 1959. She was a strong believer in education and took several college classes through the years.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dodgeville where she served on the parish council. She served on several boards including, Junior Women's Club in Montana, Big Muddy Investment, the SCC Advisory Committee, and Genealogical Society. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, working on genealogy, and visiting with friends.
Survivors include her husband, John A. Perry of Burlington; one son, John Raymond (Betsy) Perry of Tacoma, WA; one daughter, Kimberly Ann (Scott) Lohmann of Sperry; four granddaughters, Jordanne and Brittany Perry both of Tacoma, WA, Ashley and Jennifer Lohmann both of Sperry; and one brother, Jim (Dorothy) Kratovil of Bismark, ND.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents and one infant sister.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Thielen Crematory.
Visitation will be from noon until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, January 9, 2015, at Thielen Funeral Home.
The Memorial Mass of the Resurrection for Mrs. Perry will be 10:00 AM Saturday, January 10, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dodgeville with Rev. Father David G. Steinle as the Celebrant. Music will be provided by the St. Mary's Dodgeville Choir. A time of food and fellowship will be held in St. Mary's Parish Center following the service. Inurnment will be 1:00 PM Saturday in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for her grandchildren's education.
