Kingston (IA) -- Walter Alexander Giffin, 63, died of a heart attack at his home on December 17.

A native of Bellaire, Ohio, Giffin was born March 27, 1891, and was married to Ruth Alderson on October 4, 1947. He was a member of the Methodist church, the American Legion and the Forty and Eight club. For the past 17 years he had been employed as an engineer at the J. I. Case company.

Giffin is survived by two sons and two daughters by a previous marriage and by five children at home: Phyllis, Linda, Rollen, Bonnie and Connie Giffin, and by his wife and several grandchildren.

Last rites will be held at the Fry chapel, at Mediapolis, at 2 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Kossuth cemetery. The military ritual will be performed at the graveside.
