Walter S. Marshall, 66, Danville, died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 16, in the Veterans hospital at Iowa City.

He was the son of Ira and Blanche Larkin Marshall, and was born September 16, 1913, at Sperry. He was married to Helen Alderson September 3, 1937, at Kahoka, Missouri.

Mr. Marshall served in the US Navy in World War II. He was a mechanic at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant before retirement in 1971. He was a member of the United Methodist church and the VFW.

Surviving The wife; son Walter S., Jr., Danville; daughter Jean Baker, New London; two brothers, Ralph and Everett Marshall, both of Sperry; two sisters, Daisy Burgus, Sperry, and Hazel Granaman, Burlington; and four grandchildren.

Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday, Lunning Chapel, the Reverend Arthur Brent; Memorial Park cemetery.
