Mrs. Ira Marshall Dies, Mediapolis

Mediapolis (IA) -- Mrs. Ira D. Marshall died November 14 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herbert Burgus, of Sperry, only 6 days short of her 72nd birthday. A life resident of Des Moines county, she was the daughter of James and Sarah Larkin. Her maiden name was Abbie Blanche Larkin, and she was married to Ira D. Marshall December 24, 1894. He survives, as do the following children: Mrs. Burgus, Mrs. Hazel Granaman and Ralph Marshall, of Sperry; Burton E. Marshall, of Mt. Pleasant, David Marshall, New London, and Walter and Oliver J. Marshall, of Burlington.

Also surviving are 26 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and her aged step-mother, Mrs. Etta Larkin of Kansas City, Missouri, and the following brothers and sisters: Lee Guy and Orville Larkin, of Kansas City; Sam Larkin, of Ft. Madison; Ray Larkin of Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. Nora Cunningham, of Morning Sun.

Short services will be held at the Fry funeral chapel in Mediapolis at 9 o'clock Sunday morning, followed by a service at 9:30 o'clock in the Sperry Methodist church. Burial will be in Kossuth cemetery.
