Charles Nathan Wardle Sr., 75, of Burlington, died at 6 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2006 at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born September 8, 1930, in Burlington, he was the son of Joseph and Dessie Haddick Wardle. On June 11, 1948, he married Mary Alverda Snyder in Burlington. She died November 7, 1992.

Mr. Wardle was an inspector at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant for 27 years.

He was of the Protestant faith. He was a member of the Eagles and Moose Club.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
