Anita Kay Wardle, 65, of Burlington, died at 3:15 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2004, at Rosebush Gardens.

Born August 1, 1938, in Fairfield, she was the daughter of George and Mildred Campbell Ball. She first married Walter Hotle. He died in April 1992. On June 8, 1995, she married Charles Wardle Sr. in Burlington.

Mrs. Wardle was a homemaker.

She was a 1955 graduate of Fairfield High School. She was a member of West Burlington Christian Church, Eagles Aerie 150 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and going to garage sales.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Cindy Myers of Webb City, Missouri and Debbie Heitzman of Joplin, Missouri; one son, Tim Moffett of Joplin; grandchildren, two brothers, Charles Ball of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Tom Ball of Torrington, Conn.; one sister, Chris Schatz of Richardson, Texas; nieces and nephews.

Besides her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one infant brother and one son.

There will be no visitation. Her body has been cremated.

A private family memorial service for Mrs. Wardle will be at a later date.

Memorials have been established in her name for the Parkinson's Society or Alzsheimers Research.
