Marjorie Mary Prugh, 90, of Burlington, died at 1:40 P.M. Sunday, April 10, 2005 at Burlington.
Born November 17, 1914, she was the daughter of Robert Raymond and Mary Frances Agnew Coulter. On October 13, 1938, she married Robert Burton Prugh Sr. at Burlington. He died January 2, 1996.
Mrs. Prugh was a homemaker and Public Health Secretary-Medical Director for two years.
She was of the Catholic faith and was a member of Burlington Fine Arts League, Players Workshop from the very beginning and was a director, actor and past president, a 53 year volunteer for Burlington Medical Center, president of BAAC and Burlington Mental Health. She was an avid reader and loved cats.
Survivors include one son, Robert Burton (Joanne) Prugh Jr. of Burlington; one daughter, Patience Prugh Schram of Burlington; four grandchildren, Richard "Hardy" Harding (Tami) Spire of Kensington, Maryland, Honor Spire (Doug) Engle of Longmont, Colorado, Lindsay Kathryn (John) Fruehling of Burlignton, and Molly Prugh of Burlington; five great-grandchildren, Charles Burton Engle, Christopher Lee Engle, Richard Lee Spire, Margaret Elizabeth Sprie and Coulter John Fruehling; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Duker.
Visitation will be from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. Thursday at Prugh's Chapel, where the family will receive friends.
The funeral for Mrs. Prugh will be at 10:30 A.M. Friday in Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev. Canon Patrick Genereux officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A Memorial has been established for Burlington Fine Arts Scholarship Fund, Ertz Home at Hope Haven and Great River Hospice.
