Mrs. Henry Kissinger, 71, dropped dead as she was about to climb into her automobile Saturday about 10:15 p.m. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

The former Martha Ellen Huffman, she was the daughter of William and Harriet Howe Huffman and was born in Des Moines County near Kingston, on October 13, 1877. On July 20, 1897, she was married to Henry Kissinger, who survives. They settled in the Morning Sun area, and for the past 32 years have lived on a farm 2½ miles north of town.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Kissinger leaves 3 sons and 3 daughters: Curtis Kissinger, Burlington, Paul Kissinger, Flint Michigan and Harold Kissinger, Morning Sun, and Mrs. Earl Walker, Crawfordsville, Iowa, Mrs. Lester Crouch, New London, Iowa, and Mrs. Fred Stephenson, Burlington. A son, Vernon Kissinger and a daughter, Lillian Kissinger, are dead. A brother, George Huffman, lives at Toledo, Ohio. There are 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral rites will be held Tuesday Afternoon. A service will be held at the Kissinger home at 1:30 followed at 2 o'clock by a service at the Methodist church. Reverend J. Milton Kinney will have charge, and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
