Mr. Chester Cleveland Redfern, 80, 1501 Remey, died Wednesday (January 27, 1965) at 3:30 p.m. at his home.

He was born October 20, 1884, in Yarmouth, the son of John Lee and Mary Alyce Miller Redfern. He married Ellen Thomas November 6, 1924.

Mr. Redfern was a barber.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Norma Harmon of Arcadia, California, and Mrs. Dorothy Jean Abel of Mediapolis; a son, John Lee of Normal, Illinois; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Huggins of Kewanee, Illinois, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A brother and sister are dead.

Services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Elliott-Lunning chapel with the Reverend Ted Mansen officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
