Mrs. Ellen P. Redfern, 82, of 1601 Remey, died Thursday, March 5, in Burlington Medical Center.

Born June 11, 1898, at Gladstone, Illinois, she was the daughter of Evan and Mary Ann Boyd Thoms (sic). She married Chester C. Redfern November 6, 1924, in Monmouth, Illinois; he died January 27, 1965.

Surviving: Two daughters, Norma Harmon, Arcadia, California, and Dorothy Abel, Mediapolis; two sisters, Anna Brust, Galesburg, Illinois, and Irene Fusci, Monmouth; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday at Lunning Chapel, the Reverend Clair G. Marvel; Aspen Grove Cemetery.
