DEATH OF A PRINTER.
Died in this city yesterday, after a long illness, Mr. John McDuffie Edwards, Printer. The deceased was a native of New York, and came to Iowa many years ago, when a mere lad, under the guardianship of Judge J. C. Hall. he subsequently learned the printing business in the Gazette office. At the commencement of the Telegraph, some four or five years since, he became an amployee in this office, but in the course of a few months was compelled to relinquish his his situation on account of the rapid inroads which that ___ destroyer, consumption had made upon his constitution. he subsequently spent two or three winters in the South, but without material relief. he was from 26 to 28 years of age, and leaves a wife and child to mourn his early death. Peace to his ashes.
