Mrs. Viola Anna Marie Basquin, 55, Sperry, died in University Hospitals, Iowa City, Monday, October 24.

She was born January 11, 1928, at Oakville, to Archie and Ella Mae Brockway. She married Ray Basquin March 8, 1947, in Burlington. Mrs. Basquin was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving: The husband; son Kenneth, Sperry; four daughters, Diana McKinnon Topeka, Kansas, Doris Robbins, Mt. Sterling (Illinois), Patricia Bean, West Burlington, and Suzanne Downer, Sperry; her mother, Ella Mae Brockway, Burlington; two brothers, Robert Brockway, Cedar Rapids, and Elwood Brockway, Burlington; seven sisters, Marian Andries, Cantril, Marjorie Rice, Wapello, Eleanor Breuer, Oakville, Pauline Massey, Mediapolis, Delores Christofferson, Middletown, and Mary Malone and Gladys Wiley, both of Burlington; and eight grandchildren.

Committal: 11 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial has been established at the Giles-Elliott Chapel.
