Mrs. Ben (Ebbie) Center, 70, prominent Oakville and Louisa county resident, died at the home of her son, Art at 11:45 p.m. Thursday after a lengthy illness.

The body was removed to Fry funeral home, Mediapolis.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian church in Mediapolis with the Rev. Fred Robb officiating. Interment will be at Dolby Cemetery south of Oakville.

Friends may call Saturday evening at Fry Chapel between 7 and 9 p.m.

She was married to Ben Centner, Sept. 10, 1913.

Survivors are the son Art, grandchildren Pamela and Gregory Centner, and nieces and nephews. A sister, Mrs. Betty Owen, Spiney Hill, Saskatchewan, Canada, also survives.

Preceding in death were a brother, Wesley and an infant son. (Muscatine Journal and News Tribune, Friday, 17 January 1964).
